Since graduation, I've switched careers several times. Immediately after college, I was in finance and banking for ten years as a Loan Officer.
A bank customer recruited me in 1974 to come sell first-generation electronic cash registers (POS Systems)
Thereafter I sold computer systems and services for about 10 years, finally going inside to program these systems. That led to working into software developer and configuration manager roles for 20 years.
My hobbies have continued to be playing the guitar, hiking and skiing in the nearby Sierra and writing – without much commercial success. But since it's a hobby, who cares, right?

My wife and I have been married for 58 years and we have lived in Modesto for nearly 40.
Modesto is cold and clammy in the winter and hovers around 100 all summer, but it's centrally located and only about 2 hours from every great thing in Northern Calif. such as S.F., Monterey, Sacramento, Fresno, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe.
Just going to the Coast or the Sierra is a great way to escape the heat or cold, any time of year.
