Shirley Christopherson 1961
1963 graduated from Chaffey College with ASN, Completed RN program and worked at San Antonio Hospital in Upland and Kaiser Hospital in Fontana.
1976 graduated from California State University Los Angeles with BSN. Worked as a Public Health Nurse for San Bernardino County. 1981 graduated from California State University Los Angeles with MSN. Taught nursing as associate professor at Chaffey college. 1987 moved to Hawaii taught nursing as professor at University of Hawaii. 1993 Post Graduate Degree from California State University Long Beach. Certified as Family Nurse Practitioner. Worked for US Family Care and Rancho Family Practice.
2007 to present Professor at Azusa Pacific University Graduate program. Teaching student to become Nurse Practitioners. Working with nursing students in the homeless clinics and preparing them to work in third world countries.
My students have worked in medical clinics serving in Africa as well as recently in Haiti after the disaster.
I have two children and three grand children.
My main hobby is travel. I have traveled around the world to Europe, Africa, Middle East, Austrailia, New Zealand, and South America and still traveling.
